Unbreakable Spirit: The Wind Up

To make this shorter, I'm dividing this into two parts.  This here post is part one.  The second part is "Unbreakable Spirit: The Toss."  That's a baseball analogy for those who didn't get it.

Let's get something right.  If someone asks you to stop doing something, they are not trying to break your spirit.  Being asked to stop doing something, be it illegal or just annoying doesn't damage your spirit.  "Breaking" is a concerted effort by someone (or even a group) to beat a person down and shatter them spiritually/emotionally.  Simply asking you to stop is not damaging! This distinction is very important!

What do I mean by having an unbreakable spirit?  Um...  A firey-ness in your spirit.  A part of the personality everyone has.  Everyone has "spark" of some kind inside of them.  It's nothing physical.  Yeah, it's hard to pin down.  Unfortunately there are people who try to break peoples' spirit.  Yes, that's horrific.  It also makes no sense why they would want to.  People who do that don't want other people breaking their spirit, so why do it to others?  If you don't want it done to you, why do it to other people.  Every single person has has value and is important.  ANYWAYS.

Why do people do this?  Because if a person's spirit is broken, he or she is easier to dominate.  A person is a lot less likely to resist manipulation of them when he or she is broken and defeated.  Please go to "The Toss" for part 2!
